Polyurethane Screens

ECP Polyurethanes are a trusted Australian supplier for over 30 years. Delivering strong and reliable Polyurethane Trommel Screen panel solutions for nationwide and global customers. We work directly with mineral processing sites and major trommel/mill and flat panel manufacturers to build screens with the highest abrasion and impact resistance while maintaining significant open area.

KEY BENEFITS

Why choose our screens?

Long term abrasion resistance

In applications where severe wear is a problem, polyurethane offers outstanding durability when compared with rubber, plastics or even metals. The savings in replacement parts, labour and equipment downtime can far exceed the cost of a Polyurethane part for your application.

High impact resistance

While conventional plastic materials can become brittle as they become harder, Polyurethane retains elasticity and strength over the complete range of hardness.

High material throughput

The positive physical properties of polyurethane screens allow for maximum open area providing increased throughput.

Resistance to blinding

Tapered apertures prevent screen blinding.

Customisable sizing

30 years of operation plus in house fabrication and tooling teams allows ECP Polyurethanes to complete customised polyurethane screens tailored to suit your specific requirements.

Long term hydrolytic stability

Hydrolytic stability is an important characteristic for Polyurethane screens.

Reduced operating noise levels.

Polyurethane is a great material for noise absorption utilised across many sound proofing applications.

Increased life of associated plant and equipment

Longer service life due to high abrasion resistance combined with our experience results in less downtime for our partners.

APPLICATIONS

What polyurethane screens are designed for?

Polyurethane screens are designed for various applications across industries such as mining, aggregate processing, recycling, and wastewater treatment. These versatile screens are commonly used for:
  • Dewatering
  • High-wear environments
  • Scalping
  • Classification
  • Media Recovery

Material Specification

Polyurethane screens offer maximum long-term operation in a high wear screening environment. ECP Polyurethanes uses a range of different polyurethane material grades to manufacture screens. Each operation is different as such requires a tailored screening solution. Factors such as load, particle size, shape, oversize, and other operating conditions are all considered.

Trommel screens can be made in a range of colours to allow your site to easily determine the new from the old installations. Colours can also be used to identify trial screens that are produced with different characteristics from the standard screens, such as different polyurethane grade.

Internal Screen Structure Specification

ECP polyurethanes trommel screens have an integrated steel structure. The inhouse fabrication department uses a combination of laser cut steel components to produce internal structures specific to customer requirements.

Polyurethane is cast around the steel structures, so they are completely imbedded within the polyurethane. Internal steel frames can be manufactured in both mild steel and stainless steel. Steel frames allow ECP screens to maintain tight tolerance in overall dimensions including bolting patterns and screen radius, while also increasing the overall strength of the screen ensuring long term life of screen panels even in high impact environments.
